The Team Construction 5-Step Replacement Roof Process

While every job presents its own unique challenges, here are the basic steps that go into replacing the roof on your Denver home or multi-family property.

1. We’ll start by removing the old roofing materials, then inspect the decking and roof structure. If any soft wood or damage is found, we’ll discuss your options and provide the needed repairs.
2. The next step is preparing your roof by installing what’s known as the drip edge. This will drain rain to your gutters instead of getting under your roofing materials and causing any damage.
3. To further prevent moisture issues down the road, we’ll install an ice and water shield over the roof deck. Connection points, like your chimney, will also be covered to prevent leaks.
4. Now comes roof felt and new roofing materials. Working from the bottom up, we’ll lay your new roof, paying close attention to components like the flashing, ridge vents and ridge caps.
5. Finally, we’ll inspect every square inch of your roof to make sure nothing was overlooked. We’ll then clean up any mess we made on your property and leave you to enjoy your new roof.
